We provide the best services
What it is, and what it’s worth at auction or for insurance purposes. If you are considering selling, or need a value for an estate remember that the market value of an item is really dependent on how desirable a collectible it is to others, condition, and the local market place.
THE APPRAISAL PROCESS
Once hired, we arrange a time to assess your items at your location. During the assessment process we list and photograph your items and record any notable physical characteristics such as size, method and type of construction, artist or manufacturer, condition, etc.
If you have any relevant documentation, such as receipts, invoices, or old appraisals, we ask to review these. In some cases documentation can enhance the value of your property.
In situations where a personal inspection is not possible, we rely on the client to provide us with photographs and/or detailed descriptions of the property.
After collecting the necessary data, we undertake the research phase of the appraisal process. If required we consult with appropriate experts to ensure accuracy of assessed values.
Finally, the items are appraised using generally accepted principles of valuation, and we compose the written appraisal report. Reports address the specifics of the appraisal engagement and comply with professional standards.
Appraisal reports are issued in electronic form with digital signatures.
